My S2R replacement Heal Guard solution

I've complained about this before and asked if anyone made a longer heal guard for the S2R but, to no avail. I've had an issue with my left foot hitting the plastic chain guard. My foot sits on top of the heal guard when I ride her in the canyons. On the streets I don't ride on the balls of my feet so no biggie. As for me feet I don't sport a Size 12". I'm a 9.5, 43 Euro.

The other day at ACH I noticed a Kawi with long heal guards and thought that might work. The owner said it was a 2007 zx10r. The heal guards were silver with no bends...straight as an arrow. It would have been cool if it were in black. Anyhow, I looked around and noticed the 2008 heal guards were black but had a bend in them..but it was very little. Anyhow, I ordered them new for about $68 including shipping. When I got them I took out the bend on the "RIGHT" side of the heal guard with a hammer. You can't tell unless I tell you that they had a bend in them. I also plan to drill one hole on each heal guard for the screw. You can also drill two holes in the center if one wanted.

I'll post up a ride report this weekend.

At any rate here are the pics and I hope this helps someone.

Wow, you ride side-saddle?  [laugh]  Just kidding, looks cool.  I kind of like how it looks with the stock gaurd stacked in front of it, gives it some detail.
