Naw they will make good. (fingers and toes crossed) I let them know the price of the wheels....several...several...times Wink

If not I get to make them. If that be the case I am getting much free stuff from my local cyclegear shop...

I'm in Memphis TN guys where a least 85-90% of the soprtbikes around here are raked out drag bikes....with neon....We have bike night on Beale Street Wednesday nights and you don't wanna know how many other cycle owners have walked up to me and said "What's wrong with your bike?" Simply because they've never heard a dry clutch.

So you had the tires put on at cyclegear?
I had mine installed recently there, and they seemed very thorough about checking the wheels with me there BEFORE mounting the tires, and pointing out scratches and nicks that were already present. then we went back through afterwards and made sure everything was still hunky-dorey. They did a good job... They were, however, very intent on making sure my wheels were NOT magnesium, as they did not want to risk bending them or damaging them. They would NOT do CF wheels at all, as they had a tech accidently CRUSH one...

Once I get a garage i'm getting one - it took us 15 minutes, maybe, to set it up, and throw both pilot powers on the S4R

Very nice, that thing will pay for itself in time. Especially if you have multiple bikes or lots of friends with bikes.

I assume they are different at every shop. The one here said they would have no problem doing they CF wheels....

Spoke to the manager yesterday and basically got the run around. Said he has to talk to the regional fella to see what needs to be done. He is suppose to call me around lunch time today. I have a good mind to go on their website and find a way to call the regional guy myself...

I would argue that the wheels aren't safe in their current condition and that everyday that they aren't replaced is a day you can't ride. I would mention something about possibly getting a lawyer involved to see what your options are. That may speed up their response time a bit...

+1.  You probably wouldn't even have to talk to an attorney, but just the mere mention could get them moving.

Fella called today. Not looking too good. I was in the shower and missed the call. He said he was still waiting to here something back from the guy who heads up this kinda stuff. Told me that the base of operations is out of California said "you know how California time goes."
Alright dude stalling I can understand but the Cal statement was a fuct. Jackass wants to insult me like that....alright Lips Sealed

Said he was going to call me again tomorrow. I'm out of town till tomorrow. I'll give him till then. If no progress is made tomorrow I will turn up the heat. He has had enough time to work something out.

Sounds like its time to call in the troops, and by that I mean an attorney.

Your state almost certainly requires them to have a general liability policy.  Call their HQ, talk to book keeping (or the state) to find out their policy info, or take them to small claims.  I personally would give them 5 business days, send a letter of demand, and then hold them to the fire.

Accidents are a part of business - not making them right, and acting like its not an issue for a customer, is simply bad business.  Good luck!

Also, as toothless as this may sound, don't forget to let the establishment know that you intend to contact the better business bureau on them.  It never hurts to have all your bases covered in situations like this, and having the ability (effective or just implied) to blast them on all fronts is a good thing to have on your side.

You're a better man than I am. I would have called them back immediately with what I recommended earlier...

F'n Cyclegear.  I had my tires changed there once and never will again.  Rear came back w/ a scratch where the wheel weights were before and the trained monkey said it was already there along w/ some paint on the verge of cracking off the side.  Looked like the F'er took a screwdriver to the weights to peel them off.  I think they have a Squids only hiring policy.

If you need the name of an attorney in Memphis PM me so I can get you in touch with him, and he can get you in touch with somebody who specializes in the appropriate field.
