Duc and Cover  did it to his S2R1k with and assist from Zooom and was pretty happy.  It's not a big job, but you do have to drill new holes for the switch clusters.

Or remove the tab

which is what I did because I wanted to change the angle of the cluster.

There's nothing to it, really.  Just need to either drill 2 holes in the handlebar, OR shave off the little studs on the controls.

Was gonna do that but I decided to go with clipons. I am very happy with my apex-clipons waytogo
