I think midweek is the only way to go. More squids than the Monterey Aquarium otherwise.
Funny thing was, there was no one on the road at all! Aside from the 3 guys at the bridge with us, I passed no one going in and saw no one going the other direction. I don't ride it that much anymore due to the "presence" and the popularity but every time I have, it has been empty.

Wow, lucky. I was there a couple of weeks ago and nearly got taken out by some guy on a 600CBR who ran *way* wide on his corner and was on the outer edge of my lane. All I could do was pass him on the left. He ended up in the ditch so that was a good call on my part.

And I saw a "monster" of different kind as well!
It was good to meet you Dave! Hope you are enjoying the priller and I'll see ya out and about mebbe....
It was good meeting you (and Rich) too Chuck. I'll be doing more riding on the roads "less travelled", so chances are better...
Skaggs is a cycle, like the moon and the tides. There will be enforcement on and off for a while, then the LEOs will go elsewhere. Word will get out that it's "open" again and the crowds (and squids) will appear. People will start crashing, then someone will crash and get hurt, or die and the LEOs will show back up. Sad, but true - you'd think we'd learn.

Saw a nice red S*R in Pt. Reyes Station today, about 4:30pm. Piloted by a woman in those cool Dainese "tattoo" leathers. It wasn't anyone I recognized from other rides, but on the off chance you're a lurker, "Hi".
Beautiful afternoon for a ride...

Saw a nice Yellow Monster (900?) today at noon on 17. He rode behind me for a bit then got off at Lark.
Anyone here?

Was walking out of Picante in Berkeley this saturday morning and saw parked a red older monster and a 696 dark.. I suspect it belonged to the couple waiting in line to order.

Hey C!
Great putting a face to your handle and meeting the "Wingman"
What an awesome day it was yesterday for riding! We ended up hitting some pretty slow one-lane traffic on 116 going through Sebastopol - hope you guys didn't have the same problem.
We ended up heading to the Waterbar in SF and enjoyed some $1 oysters, a kick-a** view of the Bay Bridge and enjoyed the rest of the warm weather
So happy to be living in the Bay Area!
Ciao for now!

Don't worry. She didn't say the lights were flickering.

9/28 I-80 East around University there was a Red monster, older style with gold frame, huge overstuffed soft saddlebags. minimal gear, clipons, splitting on the RIGHT shoulder at around 60mph with traffic moving just fine..
D-bag!
