Scooter...no,no,no...please no. Oh c'mon at least they have a history of making scooters, though you couldn't say they feature prominantly in the Ducati museum. Just don't make it a bloody maxi-lounge-scooter ... perhaps they are finally marketing a bike to the italians. I reckon Yamaha have made a fortune selling maxi scooters to the Italians who now think they are Rossi Surely they can come up with a light and sporty scoot with visible trellis, fancy suspension and stuff.

I think you'll find that is the stillborn Scooter concept that Ducati had spoken about when they announced the 10 new models in 4 years concept, If I remember correctly they considered a number of different scooter/motorbike designs before trimming it all down to the models they have settled on to release between 2008 and 2010. apparently a high performance Scooter was on the shortlist, but then dropped as the numbers could not be made to work as it was going to need it's own production line and to many model specific parts to make work.
I can only assume that is a artist's impression of the Scooter, as I don't think that Ducati would be releasing concept drawings for a dead concept yet.

pass the vomit bag please Who would possibly want to by a performance scooter. It an oxymoronism like army intelligence and Business ethic. If you want a performance bike get one there are soooooo many. If you want a scooter get one. I can't stand this idea of people trying sooooo hard to merge ideas and fail miserably. Wow ........ that's a bit heavy danno!
