I dig having opposable thumbs for sure, but I dunno about being a chimp.  There's the Michael J buttprobe thing, but there's also the chance that you'd get "owned" by a little old lady from Connecticut, and have to eat face.

"Squid" is probably not a great choice either, though for some riders that's karmic inevitability.

I'll have to go with Mother on the "dragon" thing, assuming that we allow mythical critters.  Breathe fire, fly, live a long time, devour people who bother you.  That's worth putting up with the occasional misguided knight with small poky things.
