I bought the kit for music, but it comes with the phone capability... so, why not sync it up? i have the option to initiate the last active call by pressing one button twice on the headset receiver, the same button when pressed once simply cuts the music to the headset.  the last button which is the power switch will obv cut everything and pause whatever media player you had synced.  im not saying i ride around chatting and dialing people up, but if you're running 5 minutes late for a group ride, it help to be able to answer your friends call and keep it moving, no?  sound quality is def not lacking and you can adjust volume from the receiver.  phone calls also work well, i've tested on throgs neck bridge going 65.  what more could you ask for?  HUD navi in helmet would be cool for touring.  i mean unless you like dealing with wires whipping all around in the wind and yanking the earbuds down into your ear like jackhammers.  syncing is quick and easy also allowing you to switch off during breaks to conserve battery life.  battery is Li-ion with approx. 8hr. operating time.
