Desmoporsche?

Has any one ordered from this seller? I'm not sure about the e-bay only thing. His clutch covers look like a speedymoto rip off. But if he is a respectable dealer. then I will not have a problem buying from him. Sprocket covers look exactely like CC's and prices look pretty cheap.

I've bought some used stuff from them. Some of their acctions will be for complete junk, but they tend to have free shipping, & ship quickly.

I have seen one of this guy's clutch covers in person. I guess it was nice except it was more or less and exact copy of speedymoto's. Go to his website and all that is there is knock off speedymoto stuff. Why can't this guy do more than copy other peoples work?

I don't think he's copying speedy stuff, but he is re-selling copies.

I've bought a set of rearsets for my 999 track bike from them. Good quality, etc. Also bought a billet gas cap. Has machining marks on it, no big deal. Was anodized black, but it's faded a bit now.

DesmoPorsche is a very odd name. Looks like he chose it so he could use DP on his products.
This might confuse some people in thinking that they have purchased a Ducati Performance product.

The items I was looking at were the gas cap and the sprocket cover. The gas cap cuz it has a liitle "wiggle" in the middle . My thinking is that it may be easier on the fingers and only uses 3 screws, and the sprocket cover cuz it looks exactly like the CycleCat that I once had. The only CC ones that I have been able to find now are gold.

I'm NOT affiliated with him in any way, but he sells Ducati parts and porsche stuff as well. I don't think he would try and mis-represent a product's mfg. in any way. Just my .02. I've sold a few things to the guy, and bought a few things as well. Paid on time and shipped the things I bought right away as well.

My first proper ebay purchase was from DesmoPorsche (brake calipers) ... no complaints (shipped to Australia seemingly without delay).

Bought some parts for a 996 that were hard to find. Prices were reasonable and shipped fast. I thought he only parted out bikes.

I picked up two sets of LED turn signals from him a while back (they appear to be identical to a style sold by DP, btw). Anyway, he supplied a tracking number without being prompted, and shipped quickly.
Once the signals arrived, there was a slight issue with one set, in that they were manufactured slightly differently (very thin lead wiring, decidedly more yellow in color than the other set). When I notified him, he was out of replacements; but, told me to go ahead, mount them, and use them until he got more. Side note: I've since decided that the differences are pretty insignificant, and have just kept 'em.
The important point, though, is that he was willing to stand behind his products, and to do so in an accommodating way (letting me use them until I returned them).
I'd definitely buy from him again.

No first hand experience with this particular vendor but I will say, some knock off billet parts I have seen aren't as good as the originals. As stated before, you can often get "unfineshed" looking machine marks on parts. Also, the anodizing on cheaper parts can fade rather quickly. I know someone with a set of knock-off CRG mirrors that faded from black to purple in a matter of months. Just something to think about.

I bought an anodized sprocket cover from him. The machine work seems to be excellent. Good fit and finish. The anodizing looks good too. I can't comment on the longevity, as I've only had it for 6 months or so.
However, a sprocket cover is a pretty straightforward item. Line up 3 holes and it fits. I couldn't comment on the clutch covers and gas caps.

I can't speak to any billet stuff, but I have bought a few used parts off the seller and as mentioned above shipping was very quick and tracking numbers provided without being prompted. One of the two or three sellers I generally prefer to deal with for Duc bits.

I've got his clutch pressure plate on both mine and my wife's bikes. I'm happy with the product so far, especially considering what I paid for it. Side by side with a Speedymoto product, it will probably be a little inferior, but standalone, it looks really good and I'm happy. So is my wife!
