Damn. I was going to pony up a warm DC floor (actually you may want a cool floor this time of year), but I'll be out of town.
No worries mate, thanks for the offer. I wish you could at least ride with us.

Just saw this - if you need a DC place to crash for a night I've got space. As long as you're not horribly allergic to dog/cat it's a good spot.
Not hard to find, near the highways you want to take blah blah. Let me know.
Also - if you're looking for roads in this area - Pop into CAM and let folks know what you're planning and ask for suggestions for alternates. 66 sucks... at least to about 20 miles from DC. There's usually a ton of traffic, that's happy to run over bikers.
One other bug in your ear - based on going out 66 you don't pass too far south of Winchester VA. Duc Pond, the best shop in the area. Besides being the best shop,, they are known to be gracious hosts. if you've got the time, I'd suggest you stop by.. hell if you call ahead enough in advance they might be able to give it a quick, while-you-wait inspection while you drool over some of the flash hardware in the show room.

EL M, PM received and I'm sure that the trailer can accomodate another bike, Slag says one in the back of the truck too might work too. Need to check with him first though. The trailer though will have 3 Harbor Freight chocks and 3 Canyon Carver tie downs with flush mounted tie points on a brand new Best Yet trailer. (See "moto trailer" thread in DFWM for pics.) There is also one queen sized bed in my room I know for sure that is open in the Best Western I need to share with someone (Can't afford to sleep on two beds at the same time!) Don't know about Slag and Aero's room and the sleeping arrangements there, won't speculate either.
This is certainly going to be one of the most exciting legs of your most excellent adventure. All the SoCo Dogs are phsyched for this I know. I know there will be Denver and Northern N.M. riders as well as have been confirmed some peeps in those clubs. I'm hoping that there will be West Coasties coming as well as East Coasties. Earlier this year I was hoping to get a more national event together for Ducs and this was the best solution for that. I for one am so stoked for this! Can't wait to hook with you guys and get this party on!

well, that was the plan....
until we realized Vegas is nowhere near on the way to Colorado coming from Philly.
we talked about it and decided that we just don't have enough tire left to get married on this particular trip.
dont u worry we have 3 reverends in Ouray..

Well, if there was a drought anywhere, you could probably get the locals to pay you to camp there.

DAmmit, I think both the timing and the route are off. Too bad, I'll be heading out to NYC the first week of September, but probably straight east from mid Missouri and I don't think I"ll be that far south. Let me know if you need a long detour in the midwest.

what's black bear pass?
I hate to break it to you guys, but, for the record:
El Matador does NOT have a mountain. Desmolu is not moving to it. There will be no engagement and no marrying shenanigans!
