El Matador you and your girl are massively crazy, but i love it! I'm inspired. I'm excited that my bike will make this epic journey and you will be enjoying her in a way i cannot.
I wish i could come with you all! We'll see if the Dorsoduro gets in prior to this day, but i'm thinking it probably won't be here in time.
Plus.. track day at NJMP on Aug 2. so, i'd only make it to DC with you. But i'll try.

what's black bear pass?
I hate to break it to you guys, but, for the record:
El Matador does NOT have a mountain. Desmolu is not moving to it. There will be no engagement and no marrying shenanigans!

I got an invite to a really awesome track day at VIR that following Monday if you wanted to stick around the DC area - I wish we could go to it but it'd only give us two days to get from VIR to Dallas which would be kinda impossible.
We look forward to meeting you and we'll take care of your baby real good!!

Pretty sure I'm in, I got the bike problem solved after much frustration until 2am...ground in the wrong place. I may just meet you guys in DC rather than leave the same time He Man does from NYC because of some family stuff I might have.
What are the dates again? 31st leave nyc for philly? Aug 1 - philly to dc? Aug 2 dc to VA?? Aug 3 VA to deal's gap?
I'll have a definite answer by Friday evening.

Right now the schedule is:
Friday, July 31st: Leave NYC for Philly, pick up bike, ride to DC
Saturday, August 1: Head out of DC, ride Skyline Drive and some BlueRidge Parkway, sleep somewhere near the Gap
Sunday, August 2: DRAGON
Monday, August 3: Across TN and sleep somewhere near Memphis
Tuesday, August 4: To the mountains of Arkansas
Wednesday, August 5: Dallas
Either August 5 or early August 6: Load up the bikes and trailer it to Abiquiu, New Mexico
August 6: Day of rest in NM/maybe some riding/ possible drinkfest slumber-party with NM-crew
Friday, August 7: Ride up to Ouray!
Saturday, August 8: DITR
Sunday, August 9: DITR
Monday, August 10: Drive back to NM
Tuesday, August 11: Long, miserable haul back to Houston/longer miserable hall back to Louisiana
Yes, that IS truly epic.

and if you come with me...it'll be....
Aug 12, onward to New Orleans and Tallahassee
Aug 13, finding a way home
expect to be home by the 15th. making it a 2 week trip....
I dont mind riding out with you to meet up with Desmolu and el matador on the 1st. would be more fun then watching a bus move at mach -1 and getting stuck in traffic once you reach the outer loop.
