I should have my new monster by August 1st or 2nd. I can be an absolute last resort for a place to crash in the DC area.
I'll be down with riding Skyline with you guys, I'll show you some fun "west" roads in VA.
I'll be doing close to the speed limit though

I'm sure this is already covered somewhere in this thread, but ... what's the pickup date in Philly?

Honestly, You'll regret not coming with us. This is probably the last chance you'll have to do something like this. You have one more summer left before you graduate and you'll probably spend that in some internship. When will you have the time and opportunity to do this again?
its really all worth it in the the end, she is right!!
it maybe a long ride, but totally worth it [moto] believe me

Guys, and Lu,
I said I would give a definite answer by this evening, and unfortunately as everything stands right now I'm a no. I've been running with my belts off to see if I'm having the same problem with the edge of the belt rubbing the drive pulley and eating itself and it seems to be doing the same thing.
Can see the thread here:
http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=27024.0
It might be an alignment issue as Qfactor suggested, I am going to need to have a tech look at it at least. I did finish doing the valve adjustment and everything is good on that.
Hopefully I get everything straightened out this weekend/next week and I can go. I don't think its a good idea to make plans around my being there as I don't want to hinder your time schedule or planning. I STILL HOPE I CAN FIGURE THIS OUT AND GO.

How does it run like that? Probably not much top end, low end, or any end for that matter.

What will the rest of us do for entertainment if they don't camp?
Just lie under the bike, the heat will keep you warm, and sleep with a an arm through the wheel, so no one takes it. You'll be fine, trust me.
