Hopefully I'll know when they pass through the Deal's Gap area! I'd likely be able to catch up with them as they come on through ~

I will give $50 to anyone who fabs up a fake wooden cowl and installs it to El Matadors bike during this trip.

Thanks again to yuu for being an awesome host! We're nearing skyline now after a smooth ride out of DC. Just checking on he-man's little mystery oil leak.
New bike is sweet so far and about to be tested on the first twisties!

No problem!
Good to hear it's going well. Stiffening the rear shock should help things out a bit.
So how was today?

Hey guys!
We are now in Roanoke having a spot of lunch. We have been riding the blue ridge parkway all day, and of course it has been raining the whole time. We've been having a blast though.
He-man and The Russian parted with us this morning, they need to be at work on tuesday. We had such a good time together it was hard to part, we need to come back and finish the dragon run with them.

So the rumors I have heard about you are true!
I checked the forecast to Ouray next weekend... Rain!
(Our rain only happens in the afternoon, so plenty of good riding to be had before it hits.)

The North Eastern states have been getting hammered with storms and the East Coast.
There has been NO Summer for the Great Lakes area , the Ohio Valley ( where I am ) and the North East.
Just one cold front with rain about every 24-36 hours.

You can say that again. There hasn't been one single day this year where the sun shone all day. Rains almost every day at least once.

Small update:
We are now in asheville after having ridden for 11 hours today. Yup, 11.
We decided to take the entire Blue Ridge Parkway down instead of slabbing it. 600 miles of nonstop twisty goodness. Needless to say, we are seriously beat. I feel like someone took a sledghammer to my shoulders and thighs, but damn it was fun.
We had a very nice dinner with journeyman. We had an awesome time with him. We needto come back with more time soon. This guy has the best roads ever within a stone's throw, we're so jealous.
So tomorrow is the gap, wish us luck!
