I just read this thread from beginning to end... Mesmerizing. Most Excellent Adventure, indeed.

The one thing that grabbed me was the quality of the writing- expressive, immediate. Pulled me right in.

I only wish they would've gotten us when we were actually dragging, which did happen, a lot  . Alas. we were only able to only do one and a half passes before it started raining and we had to leave
