Towing a bike with a bike.

Soo I got bored one day and started thinking if a bigger bike like a goldwing or even a Can_Am Spyder be used to tow a monster on a trailer.  I have seen some of our leather clad friends with luggage trailers but what about a utility trailer? It would need some changes like the gear ratios and some suspension adjustments. Dunno am i crazy or is this something no one has considered seriously?

There's not a need for this i am just curious. Please discuss.

A bigger bike should be able to do it okay. I mean hell, in Japan, they use goldwings to tow cars. Obviously, those have been modified. Personally I'd say it's a bad plan, but certainly doable, assuming oyu have nothing better to do with your time and money.

Typical Harley touring bike hitch is rated at 50 lbs. tongue weight and 500 lbs. Total trailer weight

I wish I had a pic, but a few years ago when a friend of mine was racing at WMRRA, there was another racer who had a street bike with a, well, sidecar trailer that he carried a vintage 160 racer if I remember right, which I probably don't.  But it was odd to see this other bike ghostriding right along side his when he rode in.

Motorcycle instructors here tow 250's with 500's. No problem at all.
