Author Topic: rubber frame plugs.. where to get em?  (Read 2936 times)

so i did a quick search and came up empty.

I am looking for rubber frame plugs that i can throw on the tail section of the frame

this is the location i am talking about (instead of indicators i want some generic plug)

Lowes has a good selection of plugs, I don't know what size you need but I know they have them.

Some bicycle handlebar ends also fit.  Check your local shop.

I have the ones I took out of my S4RS (on the sides). Not sure of the dia of the spot where you want to put em... Can you measure? I think they are too big but (these are around  24mm IIRC) Where are you located? If close, you could by and get em FOR FREE!

ahhhh, now this feels like a proper forum!! Thanks guys!!!

In my town we have a Sears Hardware store. 50 cents total, found them in the area with all the different drawers of screws and nuts. Looks perfect and fits perfect, no need to drive yourself nuts, its a pretty generic thing all similar hardware stores should carry.

haha, thanks. it's been on my list of things to do but i didn't want to make any trips in vein. i tried out some handlebar plugs from a local bicycle store a couple months ago, but they were just a hair too big. i guess i'm making a run to the hardware store in the near future.
