tires is always a difficult choice to make and to ask people.
Everyone likes what they like.
Me, I have run PP on a 620 and now on S4Rs, will need to change soon.
This will see me change to Pirelli Super Corsa Pro II's as here (Oz) I can get for $459 a set.
As opposed to PP which run up too $650+ a set.
The other ones I am looking to try are Bridgestone BT-003RS.
Ahhhh tires, tires, tires.

The PR2 is a good, long life tire. The downside is that compared to the PP, they weigh a ton. If you are a sport-touring kinda person, go with the PR2. If you value quick turn-in, and the other benefits of light wheels/tires, stay with a full-on sport tire like the PP, and accept the fact that they won't last as long.

I noticed that a few suppliers are selling tires in sets of 3 now 1 front and 2 rears.
im guessing the front last twice as long

Unless you're getting a really good deal on it, why would you want another tire just taking up space in your garage/apt/etc?

well the discount on a pair is around 25% of the price of a front and a rear oin their own.
and its the same with the 3 packs so if you have the space iwould have said its worth it
Thats a lot of beer or gas
