Hey guys, I should be picking up my bike from Cheshire tomorrow or Friday and would like a bit of help breaking in the new tires. Anybody up for a Saturday Morning/Midday "break-in"? I have work at 4:30 at Reed in Woodstock so I have to be back for that. 'Phlipmode' mentioned knowing some roads around Vanc so I thought maybe we could all meet up at my place which is inches off SR-500. (Okay so really it is a half block.) I am the apartment manager so nobody would complain about us meeting there anyways.

I have to change New-Reds oil before I can go on another ride.  Not sure I will be able to get to it this week, but we will see.

What do you have to do at Reed?

What do you have to do at Reed?

Blow stuff up!!! Okay not really, I work part time for Bon Appetit Catering on Reed Campus part-time while attending Western States Chiropractic College. I don't know what event I am doing that night, I just show up and get people drunk (ie: bartending usually). No really, I do other events too, but usually I run the bar if there is one at the event.
Last week I was head bartender for the graduation dinner =400 people. I stocked about ten cases of water, five cases of beer, four cases of red, four cases of white, and 200 sodas. Irronically, no, I don't drink.

I don't get it . . . On another note: phlipmode are you going to lead this, um, tire break-in session? The forecast says sprinkles?

The Doc

Ps: hummus is never in small quantity at Reed.

I can lead...but I don't really possess mad riding skillz. I do have some friends who know the area better than me that I'm trying to get to go.  I did just realize that I have an appointment at 2:45(dammit!).  bang head

Just remember it's a holiday weekend, and that means increased police patrols. Police

Stay safe and have a good ride. waytogo

So...it's looking like the weathers going to be shite the first part of this weekend... Angry  I'm not so enthusiastic about riding in the rain.

Good new first: I got my baby back from Cheshire today. I highly recommend him for service, the dudt totally knows what he is doing. He's got some parts in stock too and can always order.
Bad news second: looks like the ride (yes I finally said it) is off for tomorrow. If you show up i will still probably throw a soda or something your way, but I will only be planning on riding to work in the rain tomorrow, and not so much of a nice long tire break-in session in the sun, GRRRRR. Darn rain.

Cyclegear (portland) called Vortex to find out why my front sprocket hasn't arrived. We ordered it last week on Tuesday. Guess what, Vortex didn't even ship it yet! Dang it.

Yo Doc, nice plug for the Daric dude. He sure is great with the motos and treats his customers real fair.

Be careful on the new tires espec. in the rain and while cornering.

I'm riding today... it's a nice Spring rain  Smiley
