From those pics, it looks like lots of sweepers.  You probably spend a lot of time close to or well above triple digits.   Evil

Yeah right, like the "R" could actually reach those speeds

Yes it is beautiful. I love it most of the year.

Picture it in reds, yellows and oranges of Fall.

I know exactly what you mean.  Southern Missouri is absolutely breath taking every fall, plus there are a few good hills that give you a really really good view of the contryside at the same time.

Yea, although  a lot of those sweepers end in double swich backs or 80 degree corners.

Still can take 80 degree  corners pretty fast 65 mph or more.

There's a place I call the " Top of the World ."

On a clear, low humidity day , you can see at least 50 miles and all that I ride in.

But that view only makes up about 70 degrees of my sphere of where I can ride.

Think about it ablaze come Fall !   Breath taking.

Nice pics.

What route is this?

A few friends and I are riding to R26 (Marietta, OH) and R555 (Zanesville, OH) this coming Saturday again.   Lots of curves/corners and fun route with the exception of the dreaded gravels.  We've been going there a lot lately and highly recommend it  Wink

I think it's Rt. 76 from Rt. 13 going towards Burr Oak State Park and McConnelsville where the "Top of the World " pic was taken .

Other Routes are 278, 56, 664, 595, 216, 312 and 93. Not in the order of the ride.

Thanks for the info. on your ride routes. I'll have to get over that way sometime.

D-ROC is planning a group ride from Akron down towards you guys on Saturday. It'd be a hell of an early morning to ride up for pancakes, but I'm sure you'd be welcomed. I don't know WHERE they are planning on riding exactly, the email just said SE Ohio.

Nice pics and route, Dolph.

Looks very much like most of my 25mi commute, tho, I can only claim no traffic on about half.

We certainly favor similar weather.

Joy riding is nice but it's really great to have somepace fun to go, and get there on roads like that.

Glad you enjoyed the pics seevtsaab.

It's been a Godsend that this July has been the second coolest on record here.

I have some ailment that makes me very heat intolerant to the point of heat illness once my body overheats and that can happen in as little as 10 seconds. Once I break a sweat I'm in trouble.

That's the nice thing about the roads i ride , I can usually ride almost none stop except for a 5 minute break in the shade for a drink and a 5 minute stop for gas in a little town.

Lived in Jupiter.  There's a great road just down from Abacoa.  Has 3 round-abouts on it!!  Totally get your lean on!!  cheeky

As for the pics..   vomit

I can see the humidity in the air..not to mention all the allergens!!

5 feet off that road, the mosquitoes are waitin' for ya.

Midwest..   vomit

The road signs though..  waytogo

BTW..I hope you picked up that Pepsi bottle.  Drive up to MI for .10 deposit!!  cheeky

You're right IZ, there is Humidity , Allergens ,and Mosquitoes .

But one thing it's not is over 100 degrees day after day and that's a blessing for me.

The Mosquitoes usually are only a nuisance at dusk or at night or in the woods and I'm not there.

Generally there is not much liter in this part of the State.
