I'm having a time trying to determine the best way to remove the rear header off of the vertical cylinder? if anyone has a tip \trick or any advice I would appreciate it greatly.

this is on an 07 S4RS. it is such a tight space that I wanted to ask before diving into the issue.  bang head

Thank you,  chug

You need to compress the rear suspension. Either have someone sit on it or use tie downs thru the wheel and around the frame, using towels/rags to protect of course. You won't need much. Been there done that. Got the Termi 50mm system to prove it!  laughingdp

Welcome. The really hard part is loosening/tightening the nuts on the rear downpipe at the head. 2 of the 4 are a pure pregnant dog!  vomit Make sure you have a good selection of 1/4 & 3/8 extensions and swivels.  waytogo

Just installed exhaust on s2r - not sure if its the same but a 10mm (i think) ratchet wrench was a life saver for me.  Was able to fit it onto the right hand side bolt by coming down through the top (tank up seat off).

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=95552 not the ones i have but similar.  I accessed the other bolt with a standard extension.

Good luck.

You are having issues with the tank? Exactly what are you experiencing? There is a thread or two on here about diff issues but I so far am not seeing any of them that I can discern. I have looked again and again after each post like this one...

Lemme know.

yes ive been following those threads, I have also contacted my local duc shop and DNA. I have a drop in appointment for photos on saturday, at which time the request for a new tank hopefully will be made.

oh and the issue is the plastic tank bulging and distorting.
