i found this link while scouring the net for a manual for my wifes crf, it's graphic, it's shocking but it is also reality. bikes are dangerous, but this site offers some great tips on how to improve your chances of coming home from a ride, the bottom line? attitude. yours, other riders, and other road users all play a part, focus on what you can control, improve your skills and if you have been hurt before the pics on this site will remind you how much it has cost, be it cash, family, posessions, or misery. if you're fortunate enough to be riding and remain unscathed then it's a great opportunity to see what bitumin and roadside furniture can do to the human body.

some may have seen the pics before, and i will say again, SOME ARE VERY GRAPHIC, and i apologise for the doom and gloom but there's plenty of posts about how much fun bikes can be (and of course, they are!) but a reminder about the risks we face can't hurt.

I really don't understand the purpose of that site....it's very much like a motorcycle version of rotten.com with lots of gruesome unnecessary photos and no real information.
who is going to be attracted to that site? bunch of kids who want to look at blood?
Is it really going to get the squids off the street? Squids don't cruise the internet looking for safety sites...although Paul that isn't a safety site...I consider the info columns in motorcyclist magazine (internet) or rider to be much more positive or even the riding techniques of this forum...that site is just pulp, there are lot better sites to link to on an attempt to educate in my opinion.

list of educational articles on how to avoid accidents as opposed to 'no 8: ride defensively'.
many more available.

maybe there are other sites that are more educational, but i haven't seen another that doesn't sugar coat what can and does happen to riders daily. unfortunately some of the useful links don't work but aside from the graphic nature of the pics there's some value in being reminded what may happen and encouraging riders to maybe think a little harder before deciding that jeans and a tee will do.
i don't really care anyway, i've been down that road and learned the hard way, it's always better to learn from someone elses mistakes though, especially when it hurts!

have to say that i agree with Spider and Bazz on this one. Yeah, that site doesn't sugar coat it, but we could find pictures like that on almost activity that involves risk.
A person that doesn't wear a t shirt whilst riding will only ever learn after having an accident. Unless they have the IQ in the range of 40, they're already aware of the potential risk, they just believe that it will not happen to.

Very true, until it does and then usually it's too late.
Haven't really taken a look at the site myself.
I know riding bikes is dangerous, but then so is going out the front door.

VERY NASTY!
My thought is this site was made by a person who is against motorcycling.
Nothing but negative reflections of our enjoyable sport!
My 2 cents Rob
