Hey Hiero,

Long time no see. My bad on that as have not been riding much at all. Started riding the SS to work again this past month as the car is on the blocks for some much needed repairs. The Monster has not seeen the light of day in longer than I care to admit.
Hope you're havin a good summer and managing to beat the heat. See ya around some time.

There you are, howdy doo.

The car(s) and track time has been the main reason for so little bike time.
Heavy into vintage racing with a 1969 Lotus type 61 for the past three years. Hope to be running in SCCA at a slightly higher level with a Lotus 2-11 next year. The in between times have been eaten up with practice sessions, club events, and repairs on the vintage car. Vintage racing is a team effort and it's been hell trying to get two vintage Loti to stay up and running at the same time.
Come up to TWS the third week of September and check it out. Lots of interesting vintage race cars to be seen.

later,

Al

I remember when you guys first got that 61!  Wouldn't happen to need another wrench monkey would you??   Grin

Third week of September, I'll stick it on my calendar, I imagine it's the weekend dates?

Yep. 09/18 thru 20.
I'll see about getting you a gate pass and extra wrenches are always welcome. Especially since with a Lotus, they are usually needed.
I'll be pitted in the last row of garages on the east end.

See ya there.

Seeing as it's 8/4 and photogirl wanted to ride 8/1, I guess I'm late to the party again!

Hiero, I still need to get a spare shifter connecting rod from you.  I think you said you had a spare carbon one a while back that would probably fit my S2R... when's the next time you plan on being near downtown/washington area?

Ahhh, crap, I'm going out of town on vacation tonight, otherwise I would!  If Steve is there tending bar, tell him I said hello.  If we don't have a M&G before then, maybe next first Thursday?

Patiently awaiting the full unveiling of the Strada Aperta, keeping an eye on what shows up on craigslist, saving like a SOB and hoping I'll still have a job come the first of the year, so I can stop sweating layoffs and uncork the savings account.

Now y'all get out there and burn up as much gas as you can ride.  Freaking cyclical oil and gas industry.
