So far this summer, it's been one damn thing after another.  I've had to work on way too many weekends, been going through some health problems since the 1st of May, been called on with family obligations, watched the weather take a crap on the only time I did have open and all that resulted in not nearly enough riding!  Things have got to change around here, I tell you!

Next Sunday I'm going to get the GT out again and go for a ride.  Nothing special necessary, no particular destination required, actually expect only 3 - 4 hours in the morning.  I JUST NEED A RIDE!

Anyone want to meet up Sunday morning?

What area are you in?  I'm in WNC and am hopefully crossing paths with Matador, DesmoLu & He-Man.

Raleigh - Durham.  Wish I was in WNC about now, though.

Hey Neil - sorry to hear you've not been  riding as much as you'd like -- I hope you're feeling better too.

I've been busy too (Donna has moved in) getting new flooring in my house and building a walk-in closet, painting, etc.

The only rides I've done have been longer trips -- to New England and this week to Canada.

I hear you. I haven't been riding much either. I'll see as Sunday gets closer whether I'll be able to or not.

So, when and where? I've got a few hours of work to do, but as long as it's not raining I can make the morning.

Well, that didn't work out right!  Sat was so busy I didn't get on the interweb, then Sun turned into a family thing.  I got no control over these things, whatsofrickinever!   bang head  I guess I'll just have to keep trying and perhaps one of these days, I'll get to go on one of those Sunday morning rides we've all heard so much about.

Hey guys. I wanted to let you all know about a huge event coming up Labor Day Weekend. It is the East Coast Rally for Speed Triples and will be held (as usual) in King, NC, about 30 minutes north of Winston-Salem. It'll be 3 days of fantastic mountain and gap riding in Western NC, Southern VA and maybe a little bit of Eastern Tennessee.
Last year's event was an absolute blast and I can say I have never had more fun on a motorcycle before. Great scenery, great roads and great people. Not to worry if you don't have a Speed Triple, there'll be at least two Ducatis there that I know of (a 696 and a 1098) and several other makes as well. This year we are expecting two guys from Australia to come as well. It will be a blast I assure you. If any of you are interested shoot me a PM. drink
