Man, that is make the beast with two backsing _beautiful!_

I love the juxtaposition of the dustbin fairing and studded leather saddle, with radial mount brakes on inverted dlc forks!

The attention to detail in parts like the lhs exhaust hanger is exquisite!

What's the finish on the frame? Nickel coated?

If you check out his other bikes you'll also see some interesting combinations...

like springer fronts with disc brakes. Wink

The frame is nickel plated and polished.

I love the project! What a nice bike. Ive been itching to start a new project. I need to build a shop first.

I built a shop a few years ago.  By a factor of 11ty billion it's the best thing I ever did.  Only comment is that you can't ever build one big enough.  The house was paid off and we took out another loan on it to build it, and it meant mortgage payments again but still been worth it.

Im going small scale, 16x20 or so. Just enough room for me and some help. One bench, one stand and no storage. I have bought mot of the material so far. Permit will be pulled as soon as I have the cash to start.

Those photos don't do the bike justice.

It's a work of art!  Well done Nate and Walt!   waytogo

The bike started life as a Monster.

The frame was modified to share geometry with a 888 and narrowed at the steering head to accommodate the vintage looking handmade tank.

It has a 944 kit and flatslides with short manifolds.

Front forks are GSXR 1000 with Carrozzeria wheels.

It weighs 314 lbs. Wink

Good looking bike, I like the use of the GSXR forks. What year and model they are from, I have 05/06 GSXR 1000 forks on my monster and they have red anodized adjusters and looks to be a different size axle.

I think '07 but I'm not really sure.

I do know that one of the trees had to be bored to use them. It was not a bolt on swap.

My favorite is the shovel, but that is strictly from a paint perspective.

It was a ton of fun to do that flake job.
