Finally decided to get my DS discs straightened and headed off to Awesome Discs in Ringwood (Bob Martin Engineering is no more) with the offending pieces of metal in the backpack.

Rod Camm had a look and said no probs and I filled him in on the problem with them and that the discs I have on the bike now arent a real lot better than the ones he had in his hands. He said he could do the discs in an hour and I said I would then take them home, swap 'em over and bring the others back!

He said "Nah just wheel her in, and while I'm doing these we can whip the others off and then I'll get them done as well!"

Well around 3 hours later I'm done and on my way with 2 perfect sets of discs, excellent service and with a smile and sense of humour from the crew. The original discs were in a sorry state, the discs had a woofle in them but the carriers were bad and they took a bit of work to get right.

Great service from a small 3 person business. They'll do mail order as well as drop off.

For those that follow Oz bike racing, Rod used to race 250GP bikes and got a Wildcard into the 2003 MotoGP at the Island. Unfortunately since then he got taken out by one of our dickhead drivers when riding to work and is buggered (paralyzed?) from the waist down and is in one of those stand up wheelie carts. He has had the lathes, mills etc modded so he can operate them and continues to work, good on him.
