Man. It's been a rough summer for the DMF.
Im almost glad I haven't been riding as much as I'd like to.
Heal up man, and everyone else try and keep it safe and shiny-side-up!

Yikes.

I had a close call on the way to work this morning due to an inattentive douchebag cage driver.....

urgh i know that feeling man.. i was riding somone elses bike this weekend, Yamaha 600 I4, not an R6... Not sure what..
nice bike, rode great.. good power delivery, nice and smooth... came into a corner a little hot, got a little more horizontal than I'm comfortable with on the street.... bike just kept heading outside in the curve.. thinking oh shit, oh shit, oh shit.... then realized I'm staring right at the outisde of the turn... looked up and in and through the turn, hit the throttle, and thankfully all the got damaged was a little bit of my pride, and my underwear...

Sorry to hear about your accident and the others, too! I think 3 of us got our M1100S at the same time. I'm starting to freak a bit.  Undecided

Hope you and everyone else recover soon.

Sorry to hear about the crash.  Riding home with a broken collarbone?    Shocked  Yoikes.  You're a tough man.

what's happening to the DMFers!!!!

Not to minimize the recent crashes that folks have posted about (cuz crashing suuuuucks), but it's pretty common fare for summer.  Folks are getting confident with their riding, putting in a lot of miles, sometimes pushing their limits and sometimes getting bitten.  Happens every year around this time.

Man! So sorry to hear about another crash. Glad you are alright. Collarbone injuries SUCK. I can't imagine riding home with one. You are TOUGH! Good luck with the bike repairs. When you feel like it let everyone know what you need. Maybe some of us can help out

I was just on the 33 three nights ago heading to Oak View. It must have been on one of those turns near there.

Broken collarbones suck. Hope you get better soon.

Wow...hope you are feeling better, glad you are still with us... From my own personal advice section.. get it plated. Almost always have a better result with the plate, esp. with a compound fracture. (it being the collarbone)

Let me know if we can help you with some take off parts for the bike. Looks like I have footrests, levers, etc.

email me a list and ill see what I can scrounge up. Im in Camarillo.

Hey Will,
Thank you very much for the offer. The levers were going to get replaced with Pazzos anyway, the display will be ordered soon, and the plastics, well its going to look frankenbike for a while oh well. Still waiting for my clavicle to heal enough for me to start taking things apart, Headlight might have to be replaced, that hessa fire headlight has been in my fantasies for quite some time, might go that route. Rightside can hanger is bent but can be straightened. All in do time, first thing will be that $1000 display OUCH.

I can't believe you rode home with a broken collar bone!  I was doped up on morphine in an ambulance and wanted someone to kill me.  If your insurance will cover it, try to get it plated.  I used the silly sling for months and now I'm an inch narrower and I have a nice lump on my body.  I feel your pain, brother.  Post up your x-ray!
