I love Thai & Indian, the hotter the better. Tried Ethiopian last time I was in DC-feh! Wasn't really my thing.
But speaking of Cheeseburgers you poor bastards that haven't been to California have no idea what you're missing at In & Out Burger...makes me want to move back.

There are three Mexican food trucks that sell taco's, burrito's...etc. parked outside of the MVA in Gaithersburg, MD.  The one with no grass in front of it is the best of the three and I have never ever had better Mexican food than the tacos I eat standing on the side of the road!  I can't remember the name on the side of the truck, but my friends and I call it "el trucko"  It's amazing!

There used to be one of those near my old office -- we called it el aspirador de las ratas.  Cheap cheap cheap food, but man, you really wondered..
