I've become an old man on an old man's bike

Casey Stoner has been ruled out for the next 3 MotoGP's with a mystery illness.
Not many further details than that have been released. I imagine it has something to do with the
previous reports we have heard about his not being able to get through an entire race.

So I have emailed the factory/team/president/supporters club/Nicky/Valentino and my Mum
offering my services for the gap in the program, stating my experience on the track (6 days at EC) plus one drive
day at PI. I have also said there is no need for monetary compensation for my services and that all I require is
a special addition edition S4Rs/M1100s to be made in my honour for qualifying middle/rear of the field and racing to
the similar places during my stint with the factory team.

I have yet heard back but I know I will be near to the top of the list of replacements.

that's better...and the team can handle it well.....just like last race!!!! Tell em Matty before you go out "everyone just pretend I'm on wets"

Bugger! Back in Oz for the break and his doc's said to stay still.

Matty, you could have a chance against Nicky, but he's been improving slightly of late. On 2nd thoughts, I think your chance just disappeared!

ps. what was that email address you sent to ?  Wink

but seriously:

this means the so called medical experts in the states absolutely botched that prognosis....or we (the public) we're fed utter crap.

you certainly don't go out for 6 weeks for a mild bit of gastro....let's just come clean and say the doctors have NFI (and I'm not talking about our favourite importers/distributors either).

and anything that you give a round of anti-biotics should be cleared by now...

what's the advantage of saying "yeah, we know what it is" if you don't?

Man, the only way I'd volunteer for a GP is if they changed the format to a really, really long, straight track: go 11kms that way, U-turn,.repeat.

Damn shame about Stoner. They'll have had him on antibiotics, but a lot of stuff out there now is resistant. Or it could be a virus. Sad

applause Tend to agree with you Dock.

Heard a rumour Mika Kallio will fill in for him.  More sheep to the slaughter. Then there's the other rumour about Troy Bayliss.   (I never used to be such a gossip!  cheeky)

My vote goes to Matty.
