hoooooly crap, that's wicked!  and speaking of wicked... just played the demo for dante's inferno. WANT! beware, it sucks you in. I dont play all that much but i got sucked in, stayed up super late and beat it in two days.....the mrs was not pleased |

well that does suck yet another reason to go with the PS3. i don't know what the general error display for the PS3 is though.  i was informed today that there will be an expansion pack released for MW2 in a month or so. but it comes out for x-box first. |

so i've been reading up on RRoD related things...
hopefully the jasper boxes won't do it. but otherwise, I've been tinkering with the idea of external cooling options. most of the stuff I've seen looked kind of cheap and gimmicky, though.
and DLC for MW2? coolio...

I had a fan that worked great for 5 years. I know quite a few people that got it within the 3 year warranty. Mine took 5 years to die. Some sort of external cooling is a definite. I use the Nyko intercooler and it'snot too expensive.

I don't think mine has a thermal sensor. Turns on when I start the XBox on. Shuts down when it's off. Loud as make the beast with two backs.

iirc, it's the newest one... seperate power supply and senses when to turn off and on. so it can cool the box down even after you shut down
potential downside was that it blocks the exhaust vents while it's off
