I'll be working weekends for the next few weeks.  Anybody available for weekday rides?  I live in West CoCo County and usually head over to Marin/Sonoma Coastline or Berryessa/Wine Country...open to other ideas. Hit me up!

If you don't mind coming to Pleasanton around lunchtime, we've had a regular ride going for years.  The next one is Thursday, August 20.  I'll post more details if you're interested.  We usually ride about 30 miles on some interesting local roads, then stop for lunch.

Normally they're pretty safe, but last week we went through some oil or something on the road and I came as close to crashing as I've ever been for over five years.  I had the front tire slide twice on me.  Three of the other four riders in the group also had a bit of excitement there.

We'll take a different route this week.  Also, we sometimes get retired or unemployed guys who go off for a few hours more of riding through the hills.  If any of them show up, that can keep you busy for the rest of the day.

If all goes well, every Thursday until is starts raining (except September 10).

Since I'm subscribed to this thread, post something next time you're available on a Thursday and I'll post the details.

Here you go: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307146

Quoted from there:

Next Ride: Thursday, August 27, 2009

Meeting place: Lucky's parking lot on the corner of Hopyard and W. Las Positas in Pleasanton.

Meeting time: 11:45 a.m. (that's when we leave the parking lot, don't expect us to be there if you come late).

Route: Palomares road.  Hopefully the slick spots from two weeks ago are gone.  (I'll probably never be able to take that curve at other than a slow pace from here on.)
