That Really Is Me, I Promise!

« on: August 14, 2009, 08:46:10 AM »

The other day, my friend was telling me the that he was riding on the freeway, and his cell fell off his belt clip. After pulling over and finding it, it was promptly run over.

That got me thinking, what have you guys lost, either from yourself or your bike, while riding?

Ow... that hurts.

Me, just small change and ear plugs out of an open jacket pocket.  Been lucky so far - couple times I've left tank bags open and something got loose I managed to catch it.  But that presented me with a different problem - how to get it back in the bag at speed

I used to ride with a messenger bag that just velcroed (and crapily at that). I lost a cell phone and a camera before I retired the bag.

I'm the IT guy where I work and I'm also in charge of Blackberry's and cell phones. We have a decent amount of scooter and moped riders in the office. I have close to 10 blackberry's and cell phones velcro'd to my wall that have been run over after they fell out of the rider's holster.

...and the clear map pocket off a Cortech tank bag--should've taken that off while wearing it as a backpack.  bang head

Cell phone popped out of my belt clip while going down the highway.  I watched it shatter in a thousand pieces in the mirror.

+1 Same situation - lost my gym clothes and running shoes one time.  Felt like an ass walking back down the road picking up stuff...
