"Do it!"

« on: May 22, 2008, 07:19:46 AM »

Hello everybody!

Just wanted to say that it's very cool to have found this group of people again.  I bought my S2R1K late last year and used TOB quite a bit for information on mods.  I travel quite a bit with my job so I can't always keep up, but needless to say I was quite shocked when I logged back into TOB earlier this week only to find it all F'ed up.   Undecided Undecided
Cheers to everyone here for putting this together and making it a place I want to visit often.   chug

So here's some basics - I'm 33, married to an awesome wife - you know the kind that lets you get another motorcycle after your first kid and wants to get her own after the second.  And she wants a M696 after she rides the 250 Ninja for a while.  I'm an engineer (chemical) but have got to be one of the slowest DIY'ers around.  When I read it takes someone 1 hour to swap their front sprocket, I just know it's going to take me two - and then when it's all said and done, it actually took me like 3.  Sad thing is I actually enjoy working on stuff, I just suck at the physical execution.  I guess I should have taken shop class instead of typing in high school.

My bike is an 07 S2R1k, black with light mods.  I fell in love with this bike when I first saw it and when I found out I could actually fit on it, I had to have it.  My precious...This bike is awesome! waytogo

Anyway, keep up the good work on this site.  It's an awesome resource and I can't get over the fact that this sprung out of the ashes of TOB.  Restores my faith in humanity, a little bit.  Cry

Welcome!

It keeps amazing me how many people are in total disgust with the old board. A company that is in the business of BB's has just killed TOB

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.
