it seems some people have never gone this route.
so... who wants to do a pre-motogp jaunt up the doble tre?
somebody has already offered up his brother's place in paso robles so we could do a 2-day trip for the weak wristed.
we also have a place to stay in pismo... thanks gus!
that would also mean doing the "funnest road in cali"...
any interest?

NOTE: it's a ~25 minute ride between these two locations. if you're running more than 5-10 minutes late to the earlier meetup, you may want to go ahead and head for the ojai 76.
is the updated route with lockwood/cerro

I'm interested. I think it could be fun to get a nice group ride together.
Anybody know the longest distance between gas stops? If I were to take the motard I am limited to about 80 miles between fill ups.

Yep that is what I am thinking too. Seems like there is about a 100 mile stretch in there somewhere. Derby must actually be working at the moment, or mapping his route to Mtoto GP.

~71 miles from the ojai 76 to maricopa.
~6-ish miles to taft
~89 miles from taft to atascadero.
i suppose we could figure out something for ya.
don't they make a real gastank for that?

Hmm, descisions decisions
They do actually make a larger tank for the KTM but as it is mainly a toy I don't think I will be upgrading. Depending on throttle use I can get 100 miles with the reserve included but where is the fun in riding conservative?
As for the Monster that will most likely be the ride of choice though it still has the extremly leaky gas tank so I am not sure that is going much further between fill ups
This is hopefully to be remedied soon but probably not before any fun road ride (but the tach did get fixed as soon as I got home from Costa Rica). If not the Monster there is always the option of the GSXR so I think I'll be ok
