the main reason this was scheduled as a 2-day trip was to allow for the people that were concerned about the distance or want to go at their own pace. neither of the major roads on this route have much traffic (if any) and tom just did a siting lap yesterday and says the roads are in perfect condition.

I know that I fully plan on enjoying the ride at my own pace.

Damnit Derby...  This here is tempting.  Julia and I might be "working" this weekend, but if we aren't, we might try and go for this.  Finally meet more'a'you folks.

Send me some contact info man, so's I can get ahold of you on Friday if we find out we're a go.  Would we be cool to stretch out at this pad you kids got?  Or would we need to scoot back down to SB for the night?

So guys what do the accommodations look like. Do we need to bring our own provisions to sleep - i.e. sleeping bags etc. Lets work all that out now so that we can plan accordingly in terms of getting stuff strapped onto the bike.

if i remember correctly, our "usual" meetup time in ojai is 8am. or was that our gas station meetup time?

Wasn't it always 8 A.M. meet-up time at the Posh Motel and Gas Station at the Rice offramp at the 101.

 Huh?

Seems to be a bit early for the Ojai Gas Station.

we've had two route requests.

first, on the way up, we have a few people that'd like to do .

on the way back, we have an alternate route proposed that would take us to the solvang vintage motorcycle museum.

thoughts?

I like the proposals  waytogo Lockwood/Cerro is great unless some of the more experienced people who have continued on to the 58 think it would cause problems hitting them first. Like joe asked, mileage, time, fatigue?

no real reason to skip it unless it's rained recently and there is a river crossing near the junction point with the 33.  Grin

it'll probably work out better for bobspapa's schedule, too.

Just bring some deodorant & your toothbrush Grin  I'll take care of the rest.  Depending on how many people actually show up on Sat. you'll either be in a bed or a sleeping bag on a couch with a nice roof over your head.  If anybody likes to rough it, they can sleep outside on a lounge chair on the deck laughingdp
