I got to go for a "dry" run today on the KTM. 84.9 miles until it sputtered. 4 more on the reserve so far. The ride was about 1/2 canyons & 1/2 highway both at a moderate pace. I keep getting more and more confident about the gas situation.

Anybody else looking to do the ## to Lockwood/Cerro Noestre and then back down the ## to Ojai loop as a day ride on Saturday?

I need to be around on Sunday for dad's day, so can't do the overnight.  Would love to ride with y'all though, haven't done a group ride before.

I saw joekarati's post saying he's just going for the day, but wondering if there will be a few more of us turning around when the rest of you head up to Taft.  (Oh, and can I bring my buddy who rides a Sportster?  I assure you, he'll be able to keep up.  The two of us did a Topanga to Santa Cruz run recently, taking pretty much the exact route you're planning, and he was bombing through the curves all the way up and back...)

Signed,

Deeply Envious of Those Who Will Soon Be Riding the 58

Alrighty, kids, I'm in for the 'Cariati' half-loop.  Smiley
I'll be meeting you folks at the 8:00a spot.

Binky will be in for the run up to the 8:30a spot.

I'll be on a red S4.  Grin

Is this the 76 Station on the right hand side?

Uh...unless you are a federal certified ADA blind/deaf motorcycle rider,
it just might be quite obvious where the bikes are when you round the turn.

it seems some people have never gone this route.

so... who wants to do a pre-motogp jaunt up the doble tre?

somebody has already offered up his brother's place in paso robles so we could do a 2-day trip for the weak wristed.  Grin

we also have a place to stay in pismo... thanks gus!

that would also mean doing the "funnest road in cali"...  waytogo

any interest?

hey, i think you are slightly underestimating time frames here...

maybe and i repeat maybe, it would be better to leave just a tad more time in between meet ups....or even decide for one meetup instead ?
