I went to ECS
«

European Cycle Services, starring Jay as my awesome mechanic! I needed a few things looked at, mostly because my baby sat for 18 months. At the behest of Terry & Howie, I went to ECS to make sure I don't ruin my bike. Sure she looks great and goes like stink, but I was warned I GOTTA DO THE BELTS. Very few convincing words by Jay & Steve had me doing my 6K service and a bunch of other little things (see below link). Being as I have an intense fear of ruining my own bike (or letting others ruin it for me), I am really glad I went to these guys. Pouring over Ducatis is something these guys do EVERY DAY. About 2/3 of the bikes there were ducs and it's quite obvious that they know not only how to install new parts but they also know the nuances of each Ducati model and year. My performance was so much better on the way home, probably because I was so much lighter, what with the missing arm & a leg
Thanks to Jay, Steve and the other guy who's name I never heard. I will be back!

I dont think there has ever been a person who walked away from their shop upset.
They are the BEST in their area and probably beyond.

Did you leave the bike overnight or waited? If you left it, how to you get to and from ECS?

I woke my a$$ up at 7AM so I could be there by 9AM when they opened. Jay was super friendly from minute one. He strongly encouraged me to watch him work & talk with him. I spent the whole day. Even though I'm no closer to wrenching on my bike, I did learn a number of things about my baby. I honestly have NO IDEA how to leave a bike there. Their ad says great rates on pickup & delivery but I didn't ask.

Metro North works nice if you live in the city. The ride is little over two hours. And, yes, they will shuttle you from the shop to the station.

Based on what I was shown, they're CONSIDERABLY better than really fancy, high dollar, red-polo wearin' shops that are above reproach.

He wasn't wearing glasses. He was slightly more shaven and slightly less dorky, but that would be him. I gotta call him again & tell him how awesome my baby's performing.

I keep finding myself upshifting, then downshifting. Before my baby would surge as I approached 4000 RPM's - very uncomfortable - but now I can just chill and barely shift around town. I also need to feather my clutch a lot less. Yay Jay!
