BTW This is a pic of the side that was spinning. Just in case someone else runs into this problem...

Speeddog

Mine's never tried to spin, but yours does now.
Sometimes wacky shit like that happens.  :-\

Just for posterity, it's a 17mm hex in the end of the axle.

My MotionPro tool (as shown above, but the aluminum version) works in it.

My speedo does not work. I did a short run on the bike down the expressway. Handles GREAT defiantly tell an improvement all around, but......So I pull over to test out my speed by turning on the GPS on the phone. Smoke... [bang] [bang] [bang]

Not sure what the make the beast with two backs I did wrong but >:( >:( >:(

I'm taking it to the shop I am tired of dicking with it...........

Ack!  :o

Best of luck to you.  :P

Any idea what could have caused it? I checked and everything seemed to be sound before I took off. My guy is not going to be able to get to it until next Tuesday...These wheels I think are cursed!

Speeddog

My guess is you missed the spacer on the left side of the axle, but it's really hard to tell.

Which maybe is why the axle nut wouldn't tighten properly?

Is the rear caliper carrier scraping the rotor, and did the rotor bolts hit the rear caliper carrier?  ???

Maybe it's just the pic, but what's all the crap around the axle?  ???

Raux

does it look like his rotor is being shaved by the caliper bracket?

caperix

It kind of looks like the wheel bearing just came apart.  There are scrapes on the right and left side like the wheel has been rocking side to side.  Alot of movement if it broke the speed sensor.

tonkoshala

I did....it is off set over to the right pretty far...not sure what caused it yet....will update as soon as I find out....I was told that it might have been the wheel bearing.

I just really hope these wheels are going to be worth all of the trouble.  >:(
