Ti gets cold very quickly after you turn off the engine. Personally, I'm a Ti fan, especially if it's a full system.
This is a pic of the Arata Ti race system from my 954. Tell me those colours are not way cool!
My next bike will get the same treatment.

CF also has a slightly different sound to it. CF has a raspy sound to it. Ti, not so much.

I guess it is personal preference. My exhaust is stainless but the cans are ti. I think the cf might sound better, but the ti will last (almost) forever.

Lately I've been seeing older bikes with CF that's starting to get yellow from sun exposure. I'm not sure if that can be corrected but it really looks like crap IMO.

CF is an excellent insulator. You can touch CF mufflers while the bike is running. You can not touch any metal mufflers without burning yourself.

+1. Other than the yellowing/aging that naturally happens to cf when exposed to light, I see no other drawbacks.

Carbon Fiber!
Just be aware that you have to protect the CF from sun exposure (ie don't leave your bike parked out in hot sun 8hrs a day), otherwise the CF will fade and start to break down.
I went from stock to the Leo Vince CF exhaust slip ons and reduced the weight of my bike by 20lbs!

I'm not sure how you get that sound unless it's cheap CF. My exhaust sounds amzaingly sexy - solid low tone reverberating bass - HOT
...and if I wanted to it could set off every car alarm in my neighborhood.

Just remember if you get carbon fiber it WILL turn yellow over time. I personally like carbon fiber better. I'v had a set of pipes w/ c/f cans for about a while now and they really do turn yellow. If i knew that I would have gotten titanium.

another thing to remember is that if you are getting the termi system, the TI is certified for road use, the CF is not. that's only an issue if you are in certain places, but as things go more green in the world, you never know.

Could be cheap CF, it is a FULL Termi system after all...
I only notice the raspy tone upon decel.

it also depends on what you use your bike for. If you like to tour, cf cans can eventually get burn through spots if you run in areas that get hot. My first set of Hindle CF cans developed quarter sized burn through spots on the inside of the cans closest to the bike. I know a few other guys, on different makes of bike, who've experienced the same issue with CF cans while touring warm places.
I don't think this would ever be an issue for those who stick to day rides, but certainly worth thinking about.

Can we touch Ti cans while the bike is running....i would rather have burn spots on the CF than GF
