Valley Freeways Closures & Restrictions Weekend of August 21 ~ 24

1 Southbound Interstate 17 closed overnight and early Sunday between Pinnacle Peak Road and Union Hills Drive for freeway widening. Both Loop 101 ramps to southbound I-17 also closed. Southbound I-17 traffic will detour along frontage road and 19th or 27th avenues and reconnect with I-17 via Yorkshire Drive. 10 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday

2 Interstate 17 narrowed to one lane in both directions overnight between Carefree Highway and Anthem Way from for freeway widening. Please allow extra travel time and merge safely in the work zone. 10 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday

3 Northbound Interstate 17 off-ramp at Happy Valley Road closed overnight for freeway widening. Exit at Pinnacle Peak Road and use frontage road to reach Happy Valley Road. 10 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday

4 Eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) narrowed to two lanes between Priest and McClintock drives. Eastbound US 60 ramp to southbound Loop 101 closed. Other on- or off-ramps closed in area. Use ramps at adjacent interchanges. 11 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday

5 Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to three lanes between Scottsdale Road and McClintock Drive for freeway widening. Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Scottsdale Road closed.

(August 23)

6 Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes overnight between Van Buren Street and Priest Drive for freeway widening. Van Buren Street closed in both directions at Loop 202. Use Washington Street or McDowell Road. 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday

7 Westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes overnight between Loop 101 and McClintock Drive for freeway widening. Both Loop 101 ramps to westbound Loop 202 closed. Use alternate routes while ramps are closed.
