i hate penndot.
i just went out for lunch, and the roads are plowed and salted now.

they couldn't make the beast with two backsing plow them when i needed to go somewhere, but they plow them in the middle of the day after everyone has gone to work.

UPDATE!!!!

we just got an e-mail

In order to allow some extra time to get home today, you may leave at 4:30PM.

so in order to make up for us risking ourselves to get in here sliding through the snow we get to leave 30 whole min early!

i'm so glad that they care about us and want to make sure we are safe.

i did get a little flak for getting in so late.

guess i better buckle down and be a good worker bee from now on. they were so generous for not firing me for being late today. forget the fact that the last week of this month i will be working until 10 each night and still be there at normal time.
the last 2 days i'll be lucky to get out before midnight. and we won't get much besides a "thanks" for that either.

Currently it's a sweltering 12 degrees. Last night I went out with the Dog and it was about 3 am . The temperature was 10 and the wind was blowing about 20 mph which made the wind chill -9. The Dog didn't mind ,  he jumped a Rabbit and disappeared further back in the woods. I decided he could do his thing with out my presense.

It was hot and humid today in Austin.  I think about 80*+.  It was gorgeous tonight around 6:30 when I left work!
