20" +...that was entirely unnecessary.

That's crazy.  Hardly got any snow here at all the last two years.  This year I ran the blower twice.  Once because I needed to, once because I had people coming for Christmas.

The year before I didn't run it at all.

Well...looks like we're going to get hammered again. They're talking about 12-18" from Tuesday night through Thursday night.

The last storm was heavy and wet enough I had my neighbor plow, and I cleaned up around the cars. Took me twice as long as the whole driveway usually takes.

I thought we were done with winter. bang head bang head bang head

12-18"?!?!

Are your winters getting longer and more severe?

Mine are becoming less severe but starting late December and run through middle to late April.

We aren't having the brutal cold in February that we used to get. That could change. The past few winters have been milder wrt temps generally with thaws and mud possible anytime.

We had a very mild start, with more rain, and less snow than normal earlier. I only ran my snowblower a few times up until the last storm. Last winter it was almost every week. It's not completely unheard of to get snow in July, and Mt Washington frequently does

Weirdest winter ever here in southern MN.

I think it's snowed twice. The only time I used my snowblower we had 3" of heavy slop. The other time was last weekend, when we were supposed to get a foot and got 1". At least the vehicles weren't exposed to much road salt.

Now we're entering a week of off and on rain...

Mid 70s yesterday and today (Rockies home opener).  Snow/wintry mix forecast for tomorrow.  Not surprising, as April is typically the 2nd snowiest month on the front range, behind March.

Friends of mine who are avid snowmobilers in Michigan are pissed at the lack of snow this year, even in the UP!

Might hit 80* here this weekend.

But likely more snow not long after.

It's so manic here in the spring.

Well so far we've had two light snows of a couple of inches each.

Of course on the first one the snowblower broke an auger belt. Luckily my new to me tractor has a plow. I had removed the tire chains to transport it home, and the thing was spinning like crazy. Of course the driveway wasn't frozen yet so ther'll be damage to rake out come spring.

Now we have 15 mph winds, gusting to 20, with a windchill of 18 degrees.

It's gonna be a long winter. bang head bang head laughingdp

3' of snow at the house.

6-8' of snow up in the Erie area. That all came this past week. It's been bad.
