Hay Will,
I just installed a 2011 Bazzaz Fi control unit for the EVO SP 1100 with the O2 self mapping addition witch came with a harness to delete the stock o2 censor and was replaced by the one provide by Bazzaz. After doing this i left the front o2 sensor intact. everything has been running GREAT! but now after about 100mi it is throwing the orange check engine light. everything is still running fine but I was wondering if I should of disconnected both 02sencors and just run the one hooked up through the aftermarket system?
Thanks
Jeff B.
2011 Red Hyper EVO SP 1100
P.S. and how do i get that light off? and how much is it gonna cost me? lol
WEIRD and i decide to wate an hr then take it out agen and as quick as the light came on ... now its off?

well i did one on a streetfighter and it had two, one for each o2 sensor. so....
you wouldn't get a light at all if it was all right, so we know it ain't. call them and make sure you have all of the kit.

Hiya Will,
Arlen says he has a new fuel tank for the 848 just waiting to be installed. How much time do you need to do that? Do you need new seals for the pump assembly and the cap? I've got a steering damper mounting bracket attached to the ignition switch mounts. Does that need to come off to remove the tank? Thanks.

Takes about hour no new seals needed. I leave the ign cover on so i think you can just leave the damper on.

Nice...did you get the pipes ceramic coated? Which shop did you go through? Let me know when you're paddle boarding around the neighborhood in Waikiki...beer or soda is on me.

Strong fuel smell emanating from the SF as of late..up until today it's been most noticeable when parked in my garage, but it was real strong when I was mounting the bike after lunch at the North Shore this afternoon. Looked for a leak when I got home but found none, gonna ask Will to check it out tomorrow when I take the bike in for a new rear tire and a safety check...hope it's not what I think it is.

Will,
I'm shopping around for rearsets...from the 1x98/848 bikes you've seen, after a wreck, would you recommend folding or fixed pegs? I didn't know how likely fixed pegs will cause the tabs to break from impact. As usual, thanks for your sound counsel.

You can almost bend those tabs from giving them a stern look.
If you're wanting folding pegs, I'd say go/wait for the speedymoto units. If you're ok with fixed, go for the Sato sets.
That's just me though...
