Salt in the wound? Not at all. Please remember that I've offered you a bike to ride any time you decided to head east. Best part is, I'll even be able to offer a bedroom soon too.
I'm sure I'd be disappointed with the roads here as well, after a trip out to SOCAL. It would be nice to still have a year round riding season again.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Changed out the air filter today as part of the 15k miles service and it reeks of gasoline...

Just a WAG but I think if it were running so rich that the air filter reeks then it'd be running bad and fouling spark plugs. Again, just a WAG.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing after posting that as the bike is actually running pretty good...I'll just let Will sort it out tomorrow...

Aloha Will! The termi box has 2x lambda sensor plugs...does that mean the ECU will run an open system, letting you trim the settings when you reset the TPS?
I should be in bed, but I woke up for a glass of water and decided to remove the DB killers from the cans before I crashed back out!

Great, thanks. Just removed the fairings and ram air tube...some of these spots require a midget's hands to get in there and undo the screws/bolts!

Are you working with a "L" shaped allen wrench?

I was, but some of the areas were tight to work in...I recruited Teresa's hands to help me a couple of times. I just finished installing the termi slip on kit...I'm naming today "Will Appreciation Day"...because he makes it too easy when we just drop off the bike and have everything magically done! Now, I need to putt-putt over to SSC to get my TPS reset...if Will is able to fit me in on Saturday (ehm).

Wiil, the Supreme Leader...thanks for getting my bike in and out the door today. I'm glad the timing worked out for both of us. The bike was a lot more fun, smooth and predictable through the twisties and much more tolerable in traffic. I hope you have a great 4th...let me know if you and the GF are in Waikiki this wkend...we live a block away from the Hilton.
