I just installed my new resevoir caps and alternator cover/cap thingy from SSR
(www.slingshotracing.net) and they are very cool for the price.  Great machined finish and fit perfectly.  They are worth looking into if you are in the market for some snazzy little add ons that won't break the bank.

I need to +1 the above, Slingshot Racing is good stuff. I got my alternator cover puller from them, and it was the same as everybody else offers, saved some bucks, finish is nice.

The kicker is, they sell a shorter reverse shifter, intended for Monster riders. The sbk reverse shifters are often too long to be manipulated easily on a monster. They have a solution, and its quite affordable. Now Motowheels carries this product as well (I believe its the SSR piece exactly).

My only beef is that their "gold" is really more of a orange, only on the reverse shifter. the gold of the alt. case puller is spot on with the gold of STM and Rizoma and VeeTwo, and and and and....

Yeah, their product line seems to be growing.  I think the shorty shifter is next on my list.  I have been using my stock linkage upside down to see if I was gonna like it (been like that for about a year or so).  I guess I am cheap and/or lazy.

I was wondering what was up with their gold ano.  Very bright orangish.

As seen here, its not a match. Go with silver or black if you've already got other gold ano on the bike. If its your only gold, then what the hell.

I put a black SSR clutch cover on the bike and the anodizing faded within a month.  The new color is actually a pretty damn cool bronze color, but it doesn't really match anything else on the bike.  I'm planning to PC or rattle-can it soon.

Sorry - I may have mixed Pompetta and psycledelic - who was it that blacked a non visual part of the swingarm?

I was looking into them, glad to hear people enjoying SSR products.  Thinking about getting the waterpump cover, and maybe the short shifter instead of a full rearset, any input?

thanks

Had to be Pompetta, though I am currently in the process of blacking out my entire bike by not washing it.

Those rearsets look good.  Price is pretty sweet compared to other sets.  I haven't seen them in person and have exceeded my monthly "You doin something else to that damn bike" fund.  So I guess you gotta be the guinea pig.
