I tried to search the forum but came up empty....

I need to know the diameter of the stock handlebars that are on an 04 S4R.  I am doing a track day and took off my CRG's and now have open holes on the ends.  I want to get some bar ends to put in there for the day, but have no idea what size they are.

Can anyone help?   Undecided

Rizoma bar ends come with multiple options for diameter... or my set did anyway.

Generally speaking, bar end devices are designed such that they accomodate a range of inside diameters.  That's because the device utilized for "fixing" the particular bar end "thing" into the end of the bar is itself variable, i.e. you tighten up until it is snug.

Look, if you buy a bar end weight or somesuch thingie for a metric bike you should be set, though you should know that the "tapered" bars such as those found on my 2007 S4RS have a rather thick wall thickness, so the indside diameter is less than the usual 7/8 inch bar.  Still, I've had no problem fitting bar end goodies.

Don't over think it here.

My tapered bar's inner diameter is 14mm. You could double check by measuring the CRGs?

Some bar ends does not fit 14mm - don't remember which.
