Howdy folks,

I need your help. I have a chance to buy a 2005 749 Dark with 29,000 miles for $4,000.

I know nothing about the bike or the owner, except that the bike is in supposedly good condition and all schedule maintenance has been performed.

My main concern is the high mileage and whether or not this is a good deal. Also any advice on what to look for, potential problem wise, when I go check it out
would be greatly appreciated.

Not a flaker bike.

I put 9k on the same model.  The swingarm on the dark is it's worst feature, and this is not about DSS vr. SSS. It's the one used on the first year 999, so I'm not saying it can't handle some power. The non dark models came with the newer swingarm (which I traded for after 5 months).

As far as milage goes, Yeah it has some, but as long as everything has been well taken care of all should be good.  Hell, some new cars are barely broken in at that point.

Offer 3500...Can't hurt to ask.
