I have a 2004 S4 (Not S4R) and I am looking for a top triple clamp for it so I can swap over to a Fat bar.
Anyone got one laying around they want to get rid of?
I am also swapping out the 916 engine for a 996 in case anyone has any tips on the swap for me.
Thanx

Just FYI, you will have to check the offset of the triple for one that will work.  The older style monsters (93-01) not only has a smaller steering stem, but it has a shorter offset than the S4 as well.  You may be better off just drilling your triple and bolting risers onto it.

Something like http://cgi.ebay.de/SPIEGLER-Superbike-Gabelbruecke-Ducati-S4-Monster-M4-900_W0QQitemZ170367416118QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorrad_Kraftradteile?hash=item27aab07736&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
But it's not for fat bars ,some rizoma adapters will fix that

Make sure the 996 motor is from an ST as the vertical head is shorter.
I have an 02 S4 with an S4R triple clamp. Conversion was fine.

How did you end up with a 2004 S4? I'm curious.

I would like to know the history of the 04' S4 as well.  04' did not have an S4 I thought only the S4R like my 04' S4R.
