Walked out of whole foods today and saw a cop car pass by my bike slow.  Got a little nervous and looked all over the bike so I dont get pulled over and saw that my licence plate was gone!!  With the mount!!

Really want to ride tomorrow since it is beautiful out and want to know how to mount the new plate I get from the DMV.  Bookbag?  Nail it to the back of my helmet??  Help ... what can I do??

You can go to the hardware store and buy a small piece of thin sheet metal that is bendable... You could definitely fab something temporary up in no time.

Oooh --- forgot to update this thread.   I basically used 8 zip ties to attach the plates under the seat (right underneath where I actually sit)  I tied the zip ties around the frame - need to maybe put one screw in there for peace of mind but I have not gotten around to it.  Looks bad *ss in my opinion waytogo
