Default Ducati Kokusan map is a good start f most bikes.

Only problem I heard of over here is a bad electric tach, connected via 3pin to ign module, ruined a TCI-P4.

Mine running fine, 3rd year now.

QuoteI can program it just fine and everything seems to work just fine when its connected to the computer, but the bike just doesn't start when the module is on the bike...

Can you connect w PC when on bike? Wondering if it gets power.

did you check continuity through each of the wires on the harness?

Haven't checked that yet. I programmed it with a spare bike battery, so no programming done while on the bike(don't have a cable long enough). I'll check the wires and if that doesn't help i'll program it with the standard ducati kokusan map and try again. i'll report later...

the wires in the harness are ok. didn't have time to program the module again, i'll give it a go tomorrow..

i had one that wouldn't start to work until about 10 seconds after it was turned on from memory.  turn on the key , press the button straight away and it'd crank and crank and finally fire up.  but if the key had been on it'd spark straight away.  or something like that.  i sent it back, they fixed it and returned it.

tried the 10sec power on waiting thing, no luck. tried also cranking a while with the module, but still didn't start... I'm waiting for ignitech to reply my e-mail so will have to wait what they have to  say.

greenmonster

Do you have spark while cranking?
If so, try default Ducati Kokusan map.

tried changing the map to the normal ducati map. no luck. still won't start. Didn't have time to check for spark...

sounds like you may have a bad module.  I had one, although it seems fairly rare.  You may want to see if you chris up at cycleworks might be able to help you with an exchange or something...

sure sounds like its bad  :-\ I ordered this straight from ignitech and I live in Finland so it's better to contact ignitech. I did send them an an e-mail last week but I guess they are not that responsive...

hiero

just give it some time and if you think you need to, send another email, they are at least very good about supporting their hardware even if they are a little slow on communication at times

They replied a few hours ago, so it didn't take that long after all. Something like five days and with the weekend in the middle thats understandable...
