This has not been a scintillating season. It got weirder again this weekend. GaTech, Pitt and Oklahoma St losing; Texas and Cinncinnati with unimpressive wins; Alabama did not dominate Auburn. Florida did dominate Fl State, but that went according to form.

Let's hear it for TCU-Boise St in the BCS Championship. At least it would be exciting.

anyone catch the end of the USC v UCLA game?
USC's got the game in the bag, has possession of the ball, takes a knee to end the game.
UCLA calls a time out for no competitive reason. the score was already 21-7.
USC gives them a F.U. touchdown pass to run up the score.
benches clear.
classic rivalry! Pete Carroll's got some balls!

Read about it Sunday. Neuheisel, the UCLA coach, didn't take umbrage at the gratuitous TD. Dismissed it as part of the rivalry.

Weiss was supposed to stay on the West Coast and recruit, but flew back to South Bend with the Team instead.

I bet his Sunday morning meeting with the Athletic Director went well........

I guarantee all season alumni and boosters have been calling the AD going:

"Hey, you know that check I write every year? You won't get one if you don't start winning and fire Weiss"
"Hey, I'll contribute xxxxx dollars to the "Fire Weiss Fund."

That was great!  [clap] UCLA's timeout was lame.

The timeout was lame, but Carroll loses the right to cry the next time someone hangs half a hundred on his ass.

And nicro, BSU and TCU are NC teams?  [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Yeah they don't play the tough games like Florida does [roll]

I'd love to see TCU-Florida for the NC.  Guess that means I have to root for Nebraska.

And for UF to get to the championship, they'll have to get past Bama, or vice versa. Think that's an easy one?
As far as scheduling goes, I've got a lot more respect for TCU than I do for Boise State. They knew their schedule in-conference would be a lot easier than anyone else's (that matters). They go out and schedule one tough team. They get what they deserve.

I think both of these teams try and schedule better opponents and no big time school wants to play them.  Boise just offered a million dollars to any big time program that will play them.

By the way Boise beat that one tough team, who is playing for the Pac-10 (best conference) title tonight.

Lets go Ducks.  Really want it to be Ducks and Bucks in the Rose.
