Monster S2R 800 - ALL BLACK

« Reply #15 on: September 04, 2009, 04:52:25 AM »

medical? wats that? i didnt know they offered it. unless your talking about their 5,000 medical that costs an extra 200 a year..

I think I meant liability, the one where if I kill somebody or injure myself, I am covered.

Not the "medical payments" one which is pretty much bullshit right?

i dont really know. i know you HAVE To cover liability. THat pretty much coveres anything you do to someone else within your insurance limits, regardless. Im not sure if it depends on whos at fault though.

THe medical, which i used to have with dairyland for $12 a year, only covered up to $5,000 of medical bills for yourself. sya you dropped your bike and hurt yourself.

When i switched to progressive they wanted $200/yr for $5000 worht of medical coverage. Not worth it because $5,000 goes almost no where, unless we are talking about taking care of a few scratches or burns, which i can do myself.

Oh yeah.  I went back & double checked.  I pay $351.00 with Motorcycle Services, LLC.  On one bike.  Minimum liability plus $25k uninsured motorist (an add'l $17).  But until August I've never been licensed and I've never taken the MSF.  I'd imagine parking it in Harlem isn't the cheapest thing in the world.

Wouldn't regular medical insurance cover injury to myself if I crashed? I would hope so...

Medical insurance would cover you in a motorcycle accident.  And He Man, riding a motorcycle without medical insurance is not prudent.  Hell, riding a motorcycle isn't prudent either, yet here we are.

The scary thing is it sounds like the exorbitant medical plan on bike insurance would probably be the best way to go if you're otherwise healthy.  Go buy some band-aids He Man.  I'll treat you to lunch!  Wink
